In Junior College: A four-time NJCAA All-American in the throws at Butler County Community College... placed third in 2005 and fifth in 2006 in the discus at NJCAA nationals... placed third in the hammer in 2006 and eighth in the shot put in 2005 at nationals... In High School: A five-time All-State competitor at McPherson High School... captured the Class 5A state title in the discus in 2004, after finishing as the state runner-up the previous two years... Personal: Born October 28, 1985...daughter of Benny Petersen and Linda Rush... has a 3.507 GPA as a commercial graphics major.
