| Carol Cardoso
Assistant Coach
Carol Cardoso enters her second year as the top assistant coach for the Pittsburg State University volleyball program. Cardoso returned to campus in 2006, after spending a year in her native Brazil.
Cardoso enjoyed a highly successful two-year career (2003-04) for the Gorillas, helping Pittsburg State make the first two appearances in NCAA Division II National Tournament play in school history.
The native of Soracaba, Brazil, earned second-team All-MIAA honors during her senior season in 2004 as a right side attacker. She also was named to the NCAA-II South Central Region All-Tournament Team that year.
As a sophomore at Seward County Community College, Cardoso helped the Saints to a 48-7 record and sixth-place finish at the NJCAA National Championships. She earned All-Jayhawk Conference and All-Region honors. During her freshman season she helped SCCC to a 27-10 record and a seventh-place showing at the NJCAA National Championships.
Cardoso assists the volleyball program with day-to-day team training, administrative and team travel support.
Cardoso, who earned a bachelor's degree in international business from
Pittsburg State in 2005, is pursuing her master's degree in human resource
development.
