Gorillas Score Pair of Dramatic Wins Over Bearcats

    PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University softball team scored a pair of dramatic victories in their last at-bats over Northwest Missouri State University Saturday (Apr. 5) at the PSU Softball Complex.
    In game one, Haley Deaton’s infield single scored Lindsay Birchfield with the game winning run in a 4-3 victory in eight innings as Pitt State rallied from a 3-1 deficit with two runs in the seventh and the game winner in the eighth.
    In game two, Lori Lockhart doubled home Alysha Fivecoats with the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning in an 11-10 win. The
Gorillas (15-19, 3-1 MIAA) rallied from deficits of 7-3 and 10-6 against the Bearcats (20-11, 3-3 MIAA).
