PSU Softball Adds Thursday Action vs. Kansas Wesleyan
PITTSBURG
-- The Pittsburg State University softball team will face Kansas
Wesleyan University in its home opener Thursday (Feb. 28) at the PSU Softball
Complex.
First pitch is set for 2 p.m. (CST).
The game was added to the Gorillas schedule Wednesday
as playing conditions in Pittsburg improved from the recent inclement
weather that forced several postponements and cancellations to the early
Pitt State schedule.
The Gorillas enter Thrusday's action with a 1-3
record. PSU made a hasty trip to Russellville, Ark., last weekend as a
late addition to the Arkansas Tech University Invitational. PSU posted
a 6-5 season-opening win
over Drury University Saturday (Feb. 23), before dropping close decisions
to Arkansas Tech (3-0),
William Penn University (3-2)
and MIAA rival Northwest Missouri State University (5-4).
Thursday's action will be KWU's season-opening competition.
The Lady Coyotes posted a 22-16 record in 2007.
