Mike Carpino Ford Named “Official Car Dealer of
Pitt State Athletics”
PITTSBURG
-- Pittsburg State University assistant athletic director Bill Kroenke
announced today (Mar. 26) that Mike Carpino Ford in Columbus, Kansas,
has signed a contract with the department of intercollegiate athletics
to become the “Official Car Dealer of Pitt State Athletics”.
The courtesy car dealer program plays a vital
role in the success of Pitt State Athletics as the cars are utilized year
round by the PSU coaching staff in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
Mike Carpino Ford will provide courtesy cars for PSU head football coach
Chuck Broyles, head men’s basketball coach Gene Iba and head women’s
basketball coach Lane Lord.
“We are tremendously excited to have Mike
Carpino Ford become the Official Car Dealer for PSU Athletics,”
Kroenke said. “Mike and his staff have come forward and greatly
elevated the level of commitment to our courtesy car program compared
to past arrangements. We are pleased to begin this new corporate partnership
and value Mike’s commitment to the Gorillas.”
“We are very enthused to become a corporate
partner to PSU Athletics,” Carpino said. “Pittsburg State
University and the athletic department play a vital role to southeast
Kansas as a whole. Helping PSU continue to grow helps the entire region
continue to grow, and we’re certainly glad to do what we can to
help.”
