Northwest Handles Cold-Shooting Pitt State, 67-46

Mo. -- Northwest Missouri State University
rushed out to a 17-point halftime advantage against cold-shooting Pittsburg
State University en route to a 67-46
win Saturday (Feb. 16) at Bearcat Arena.
The Gorillas (15-8,
6-8 MIAA) converted just 7 of 22 shots from the field in the first
half as the Bearcats (17-6, 9-5 MIAA) worked in front, 37-20, at the break.
Pitt State never got any closer than 15 points of Northwest in the second
half.
Hunter Henry finished with a game-high 21 points to
lead the Bearcats, who shot 48.1 percent from the field for the game and
54.2 percent in the second half. Matt Withers and Mike Larson added 14
and 11.
Cory Abercrombie and Nathan Lang finished with 13 and
12 for the Gorillas, who shot just 38.6 percent from the field in the
game with a 2-for-12 shooting afternoon from 3-point range.
