Ichabods Claim 67-56 Win Over Gorillas

-- Washburn University’s frontcourt trio of Brady Sisk, Darnell
Kimble and Kyle Snyder combined for 46 points as the Ichabods claimed
a 67-56 win
over Pittsburg State University Saturday (Feb. 9) at Lee Arena.
The Ichabods (13-8, 5-7 MIAA) built a 36-23 halftime
advantage over the Gorillas (14-7,
5-7 MIAA) and Washburn held off Pitt State’s comeback bids in
the second half.
Sisk finished with a team-leading 18 points for
the Ichabods, who shot 45.2 percent from the field in the contest. Kimble
and Snyder added 14 apiece and Paul Byers chipped in with 11 to finish
in double figures as well.
Cory Abercrombie turned in a 27-point, 13-rebound
effort in the losing cause for the Gorillas, who shot just 41.1 percent
from the field. Carlos Taylor also scored in double figures with 10 points.
