PSU Golfers Finish Seventh at MWSU Invitational

JOSEPH, Mo. -- Sophomore Kyle Capps and junior Shane Collins both finished
in a tie for 24th place to lead the Pittsburg State University golf team
to a seventh-place showing at the Missouri Western State University Invitational
at Fairview Golf Course Tuesday (Apr. 1).
Capps, an Olathe native, fired rounds of 75 Monday
and 77 Tuesday, while Collins, from Independence, Mo., shot rounds of
76 both days, to lead the squad with 152 scores.
As a team, the Gorillas carded a 615 score in the two-day
competition. Washburn University claimed the team title with a 568 score,
finishing 13 strokes ahead of Missouri Southern State University (581).
