Gorillas Drop Pair of Games to SW Minnesota State

    PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University baseball team dropped a pair of games to Southwest Minnesota State University Sunday afternoon (Mar. 2) at Al Ortolani Field.
    The Gorillas (2-6) dropped 15-11 and 13-9 decisions to the Mustangs (2-2) to split the four-game weekend series.
    Justin Northern went 4-for-5 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Gorillas offense in game one. Luke Naccarato doubled and homered and AJ Loyd hit a three-run home run in the night cap.
    The Gorillas will return to action Mar. 8-9 when they travel to Rolla, Mo., for a four-game series against Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly UMR).
