Enters her second season in the Pittsburg State program…  a talented and experienced runner looking to have a big senior season… earned All-MIAA honors in the steeplechase at the 2010 MIAA Outdoors… ranks third in the steeplechase (11:11.62), third in the indoor 3000m (10:23.54), and eighth in the indoor 5000m (18:17.41) on the PSU all-time top performers list… also a member of the Pitt State cross country team that captured the MIAA title and finished 12th at NCAA-II Nationals in 2010… earned All-MIAA honors at both the 2009 and 2010 MIAA Cross Country Championships with ninth and 10th place showings, respectively… In Junior College: Competed in cross country and track & field at Butler Community College… the NJCAA National Runner-up in the steeplechase in 2009... helped earn a relay National Championship as well in 2008… also had third-place efforts at regionals in both the 1,500m and 5,000m disciplines… In High School: Captured the 2006 Kansas Class 2A State Cross Country Championship as a senior at Bennington High School... earned state runner-up finishes in the 4x800 and 1,600m at the 2007 Kansas Class 2A State Track Meet… Personal: Born December 29, 1988... daughter of David Butler and Amy Sloan... a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and the MIAA All-Academic Team… has a 3.96 GPA as a mathematics major.
