Jennifer ButlerEnters her second season with the Pittsburg State program... transferred to Pitt State from Butler Community College... a talented and experienced runner looking to make a big impact for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2009: Finished first on the team in every meet she competed ... an All-MIAA performer with a ninth-place showing at the MIAA Championships... earned MIAA Athlete of the Week honors after placing second overall at the UCM Mule Run, leading the Gorillas to a first-place team finish in the meet... also placed 11th overall to lead Pitt State at the NCAA-II South Central Regional.

On the Track: Competed in 5,000m, 1,500m, and steeplechase... finished second at the MIAA Outdoor Championships in the steeplechase with a time of 11:11.62... finished 10th in the 3,000m and sixth in the 5,000m at the conference indoor championships.

At Butler CC: Competed in cross country and track & field for the Grizzlies... the NJCAA National Runner-up in the steeplechase in 2009... helped earn a relay National Championship as well in 2008... also had third-place efforts at regionals in both the 1,500m and 5,000m disciplines.

In High School: Captured the 2006 Kansas Class 2A State Cross Country Championship as a senior at Bennington High School... earned state runner-up finishes in the 4x800 and 1,600m at the 2007 Kansas Class 2A State Track Meet.

Personal: Born December 29, 1988... daughter of David Butler and Amy Sloan... a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and the MIAA All-Academic Team... has a 3.98 GPA as a mathematics major.
