Graduate Assistant Football Coach

Chris Swartz enters his second year as a graduate assistant coach and his second season on the PSU staff, after enjoying a decorated playing career for the Gorillas.

Swartz assists John Pierce with the Gorillas' running backs.

Swartz, a Cherokee, Kan., native completed a five-year career as a linebacker in the Pitt State program.  He recorded 122 career tackles, including 61 stops as a senior in 2009.

Swartz who earned a bachelor's degree in technology education from Pittsburg State in 2010, is currently pursuing a master's degree in educational leadership from Pitt State.

Swartz is married to the former Casey Rowe.  The couple resides in Pittsburg.
