Frank Naccarato

Frank Naccarato enters his 20th year as a volunteer coach with the Pittsburg State staff.

Naccarato enters his 17th year with the Gorillas' wide receivers, after assisting with running backs ('92) and the offensive line ('93-94).  He has coached six All-Americans and 17 All-MIAA players during his tenure.

Naccarato, a Frontenac, Kan., native, earned a bachelor's of science in education degree from Pittsburg State in 1972 and a master's degree in school administration from PSU in 1994.  He was a four-year member of the PSU baseball team as a catcher (1969-72) on Al Ortolani's squads.

Naccarato previously served as head football coach at Galena High School in Galena, Kan., from 1981-91.  He led GHS to a pair of league titles, three district titles and a bi-district championship.  Naccarato retired from high school teaching in 2007 after 28 years of service in the Galena school district.

Frank and his wife, Mary, reside in Frontenac.  They have two adult daughters, Holly and Faith.

Holly and her husband, Eric Rockers, live in Garden Plain, Kan., and have two sons, Tanner, 10, and Kade, who turns nine on December 16.  Faith, who lives in Olathe, Kan., is pursuing a nursing degree.
