Matt Brock
Head Golf/Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Matt Brock enters his fourth year as the head men's golf coach as well as his fourth season as an assistant for the Pittsburg State University men's basketball program.
Brock, a native of Camdenton, Mo., came to Pittsburg State after serving as an assistant coach at Hannibal-LaGrange College during the 2007-08 season and serving as head boys' basketball coach at Green City (Mo.) High School in 2006-07 where they won 20 games and reached the district championship.
Brock played at MIAA rival Truman State University basketball team from 2001-06. He was a 3 time member if the MIAA Commissioner's honor roll as well as captain of the 2005-06 team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament. He earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in exercise science from Truman State University.
Brock's father, Skip, is the head boys' basketball coach at Mt. Vernon (Mo.) High School where he has won over 350 career games, his younger brother Tomas is a graduate assistant coach at Northwest Missouri State. His grandfather, Marv Ackerson was an All-American in 1955 for the Pitt State football program.
Matt and his wife, Sheryl live in Pittsburg.
