Eric Ray - Basketball

General: Second-year player… an All-MIAA guard who plays both ends of the floor exceptionally well… led PSU in scoring and assists last season… will look to have a significant impact at the point guard position for the Gorillas again this winter.

In 2010-11: Saw action in all 26 games, starting 25…averaged a team-best 12.2 points in 29.2 minutes per game…shot 102 for 208 from the field (.490) on the season, including 29 for 61 (.475) from three-point range… dished out 69 assists (2.7 apg) and 34 steals (1.3 spg)… scored a career-high 22  points against NW Missouri State on Dec. 8… garnered honorable mention All-MIAA honors.

In Junior College: Spent two seasons at Cloud County CC… averaged 11.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 2010… also dished out 100 assists (3.2 apg) and grabbed 50 steals, earning second-team All-Jayhawk Conference honors… converted 49.0 percent of his shots from the field (121 of 247) and hit 20 3-point field goals (20 of 58 (.345)… also shot 81.2 percent from the free throw line (82 of 101).

In High School: A stand-out prep player at Topeka High School.

Personal: Born May 7, 1990… son of Eric, Sr., and Anita Ray… a general studies major.
