NCAA-II Indoor Championships

Pitt State men's and women's indoor track & field athletes will open competition at the 2010 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships Friday (Mar. 12). Pitt State athletes will compete in five events in day one competition.
Pitt State senior Jeremy Jackson was named the NCAA Division II South Central Region Men's Track Athlete of the Year Friday (Mar. 5), while head coach Russ Jewett garnered Men's South Central Region Men's Coach of the Year honors from the USTFCCCA.
Both the Pitt State men's and women's indoor track & field teams qualified strong contingents to the 2010 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships Thursday (Mar. 4) when the national qualifiers lists were released.
For the second time in as many years, the Pitt State men's indoor track & field team claimed the runner-up finish at the MIAA Indoor Championships. On Sunday (Feb. 28), the Gorillas closed out the three-day 2010 competition with 114 points, finishing 23 points behind Central Missouri.
The Pitt State men's indoor track & field team sits in second place while the women's squad is third after day one action of the 2010 MIAA Indoor Championships.
