General: Fifth-year player … a talented receiver who has evolved into a frontline player for the Gorillas … also an explosive return specialist … expected to play a key role for Pitt State again this fall.
In 2010: Saw action in eleven games including seven starts…Led the Gorillas in receiving with 25 catches for 351 yards (14.0 ypr) and one touchdown… recorded a season high 64 yards on 4 catches against Nebraska-Omaha (Oct. 30)… also rushed 7 times for 83 yards (11.9 ypc)…returned ten punts for 157 yards (15.7) with one touchdown and 20 kickoffs for 475 yards (23.8).
In 2009: Saw action in all 11 games, including three starts... caught 27 passes for 360 yards (13.3 ypc) and one touchdown on the season... caught six passes for a career-best 97 yards vs. No. 18 Mo. Western (Sept. 26)... also had 74 yards and a score vs. No. 12 UCM (Sept. 19)... on special teams, returned 12 punts for 127 yards (10.6 ypr) and returned 35 kickoffs for a 24.9-yard average... also blocked a kick.
In 2008: Saw action in 11 games in a reserve role and on PSU’s special teams units... on special teams, recorded five tackles, a fumble recovery and blocked one kick... also returned three punts for an 8.7-yard average and had one kickoff return for 12 yards.
In 2007: Redshirt season.
In High School: A standout running back at Kansas City’s Christ Prep Academy as a senior in 2006... compiled 2,600 all-purpose yards and 29 TDs his senior season... scored 60 TDs during his prep career... also a talented wrestler at Chris Prep.
Personal: Born October 11, 1988... son of Greg and Becky Thomas... a three-year a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll... also an Academic All-District selection as a junior in 2010... has a 3.60 GPA as a construction engineering technology major.
