The Pittsburg State University football team hosted its 2011 Team Awards Banquet Saturday evening (Jan. 22). The event capped a festive day in Pittsburg after the Gorillas were honored with a lengthy downtown parade early in the afternoon.
Eight members of the Pitt State football team received recognition of the 2011 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Team today (Jan. 19), while head coach Tim Beck was named Division II National Coach of the Year by the Don Hansen Football Committee.
The City of Pittsburg will host a "Parade of Champions" on Saturday, January 21 at 1 p.m. in downtown Pittsburg.
