The Pitt State football team will make its home debut Saturday (Sept. 4) when the Gorillas host Chadron State College. Kickoff is set for 12 Noon (CDT) at Brandenburg Field/Carnie Smith Stadium.

Game Times for MWSU, Washburn Football Games Altered for Live Television
Kickoff times for Pitt State’s Sept. 25 football game against Missouri Western and the Gorillas’ Oct. 16 Homecoming game against Washburn have been altered slightly to accomodate live television broadcasts on the new MIAA Broadcasting Network. Pitt State’s Homecoming game, originally scheduled for 2 p.m. (CDT), will now kickoff at 2:20 p.m. on Oct. 16 at Brandenburg Field/Carnie Smith Stadium.

Gorillas Hold On For 31-20 Season Opening Victory Over Bronchos
Quarterback Zac Dickey tossed a third-quarter touchdown and broke loose for a 47-yard go-ahead touchdown run with 8:52 to play in the game to lead Pittsburg State University to a 31-20 victory over the University of Central Oklahoma in the season opener at Wantland Stadium.

MIAA Announces Launch of Broadcasting Network
The MIAA announced Wednesday (Aug. 25) the launch of the MIAA Broadcasting Network that will feature 20 televised football and basketball conference games in 2010-11, including a pair of Pitt State football games this fall.

Gorillas Set to Open Football Campaign at Central Oklahoma
The Pitt State football team travel to Edmond, Okla., Saturday (Aug. 28) to face Central Oklahoma in the season opener for both schools. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (CDT) at UCO’s Wantland Stadium. Pitt State will usher in the Tim Beck coaching era Saturday.

Pitt State Football Team Reports to Preseason Camp Friday
The Pittsburg State University football team will report to campus for the start of preseason camp Friday (Aug. 6). Newcomers will report Friday morning, Aug. 6, with the veterans returning to campus Friday evening. The Gorillas’ first practice will take place Saturday, Aug. 7, at 8 p.m. at Carnie Smith Stadium.

Pitt State Football Tabbed Sixth in MIAA Coaches, Media Polls
The Pittsburg State University football team was picked sixth by both the MIAA coaches and media Monday (Aug. 2) when the conference unveiled the two polls as part of its annual MIAA Kickoff activities.
