Dr. John Peterson, Pittsburg State University's first three-time All-America football player and a member of the school's Athletics Hall of Fame, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 6. He was 64.

Pitt State head football coach Tim Beck announced today (Feb. 22) that assistant coach Larry Garman will assume additional duties as the team’s in-season off-campus recruiter.

Lyons Native Craig Signs With Pitt State
Pitt State head football coach Tim Beck announced Tuesday (Feb. 8) that Jakeb Craig, a senior at Lyons (Kan.) High School, has signed a letter of intent to join the Gorillas for the 2010 season.

Former Gorilla Moorman Named to NFL All-Decade Team
Former Pittsburg State football player and track standout and 2009 PSU Hall of Fame inductee Brian Moorman was recently named to the National Football League's All-Decade team for the 2000s. Moorman, who plays for the Buffalo Bills was one of two punters selected for the team.
