Enters his fourth season in the Pitt State program... a veteran runner looking to have a strong senior year for the Gorillas.

In 2009: Competed in seven meets... finished sixth on the team and 30th overall to help Pitt State finish 3rd at the UCM Mule Run.

In 2008: Competed in five meets, scoring in one... finished sixth among his teammates and 134th overall to help the Gorillas to a 17th place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships.

In 2007: Competed in six meets, scoring in one... ran his 8K career-best time in 26:14 at the Southern Stampede... finished fifth among team members and 132nd overall to help the Gorillas to a 17th place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships... ran career-best 10K time of 33:25 at the South Central Regional.

On the Track: Competed in the 1,500m, 5,000m, 10,000m, and steeplechase disciplines for the Gorillas.

In High School: A Missouri Class 4A All-State cross country and track athlete for Lee's Summit High School.

Personal: Born November 23, 1988... son of Steve and Chris Jochems... a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll... has a 3.28 cumulative GPA as an accounting major.
