Enters his fourth season in the Pitt State program... one of the premier athletes in the MIAA... the defending MIAA champion... a two-time All-MIAA performer... poised for a big senior season.

In 2008: Competed in six meets as the Gorilla's No. 1 or 2 runner in each race... won the MIAA Championships with a career-best 8K time of 25:28... finished ninth overall at the South Central Regional, helping the Gorillas to third overall in the meet... helped the Gorillas to a 17th place finish in the NCAA Division-II National Championships with a 69th place finish and 10K time of 32:56.

In 2007: Competed in six meets, finishing among the top five on the team in each race... earned a season-best 8K time of 25:58 coming in the Southern Stampede... placed fifth in the MIAA Championships with an 8K time of 26:32... finished ninth overall at the South Central Regional with a career-best 10K time of 31:30, helping the Gorillas to third overall in the meet... helped the Gorillas to 17th place finish in the NCAA Division-II National Championships with a 111th place finish and a 10K time of 33:05.

In 2006: Competed in two meets with a season-best 8K time of 28:43 at the SIU-Edwardsville Border Wars.

On the Track:
Garnered NCAA-II All-America honors with a seventh-place effort in the 1,500m at the 2009 NCAA-II Outdoors... a three-time MIAA champion in the discipline (twice outdoors, once indoors)... also helped PSU's distance medley relay earn All-MIAA honors in 2007.

In High School: A standout track and field and cross country athlete at Lawrence's Free State High School.

Personal: Born September 29, 1986... son of Hassaballa Hassaballa and Kawathe Haroun... a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll... has a 3.129 cumulative GPA as an automotive technology major.
