Pittsburg State’s Upset Bid Falls Short, 78-74
Pitt State pushed No. 22 NW Missouri State to the brink but couldn't deliver in the game's waning minutes as the Bearcats pulled out a 78-74 victory Saturday (Feb. 4) at John Lance Arena.
Pitt State-Washburn Games to Air on MIAA Broadcasting Network
The Pitt State vs. Washburn men's and women's basketball doubleheader action on Feb. 18 will be aired on the MIAA Broadcasting Network, the conference announced today (Feb. 3). The games can be view locally on Cox Cable channel 22.

For the first time since the 2006-07 season Pittsburg State is expecting to have both its women’s and men’s basketball teams competing in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. The Pitt Stat men’s basketball team will return to the friendly confines of John Lance Arena Wednesday (Feb. 1) to begin two-game MIAA homestand. The Gorillas will play host to SBU Wednesday before entertaining MIAA co-leader NW Missouri State Saturday.

A very impressive second-half effort by the Gorillas (12-8, 8-5 MIAA) fell short against Central Missouri (14-4, 10-4 MIAA) as Pitt State fell 84-82 Saturday (Jan. 28) at the UCM Multipurpose Building.
Gorillas Get Big Win Over Truman, 73-56
Rico Pierrevilus led the balanced Pitt State scoring attack with a game-high 18 points off the bench as the Gorillas claimed a 73-56 victory over Truman State Wednesday (Jan. 25) at John Lance Arena.
