Pittsburg State University
Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame
Started in 1988, the Pittsburg State University Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes National Championship teams, former Gorilla student-athletes, former PSU coaches and Meritorious Achievement candidates.
An eight-person selection committee composed of alumni and current athletic staff members evaluates the merits of the candidates who have been nominated for this distinction. The committee selects a new class each fall, with an induction ceremony celebrating the event.
The Hall of Fame is located in the south hallway on the first floor of the Garfield Weede Physical Education Building. Photos of the inductees are displayed with a mural honoring Pittsburg State University’s 1957 and 1961 national championship football teams.
