Donald Julius Dunn (1934-38)

Donald Julius Dunn was one of the top sprinters in the nation in the mid-1930s, earning NCAA Division I All-America honors in 1937 with a third-place finish in the 100 meters. Dunn also was a member of PSU's 1937 track team which placed seventh at the NCAA Division I Championships.

Harlan Lee Hess (1959-62)

Harlan Lee Hess was a first-team NAIA All-America selection at tackle as a member of PSU's 1961 NAIA National Championship squad. Hess was a two-time first-team All-CIC (1960-61) performer and a four-year letterwinner (1959-62).

Calvin Wesley Kinzer (1972-75)

Calvin Wesley Kinzer was a three-time honorable mention NAIA All-America basketball player at PSU. Kinzer finished his four-year career as PSU's all-time leading scorer with 1,833 points in 102 career games (18.0 ppg). He also was a three-time first-team All-GPAC and first-team NAIA All-District 10 selection (1973-75). Kinzer averaged 23.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per game in leading PSU to the GPAC title as a senior in 1975.

Joseph Patrick Murphy (1949-75)

Joseph Patrick Murphy was an assistant football coach at PSU from 1949-75. Alongside head coach Carnie Smith, Murphy was a guiding force in leading the PSU football team to the 1957 and 1961 NAIA National Championships. He also was Pitt State's swimming coach for 20 years, leading the Gorillas to several conference championships. Murphy was elected to the Helm's Foundation Hall of Fame for meritous service to swimming.

Robert Bernard Schroeder (1929-32)

Robert Bernard Schroeder was a world-class high jumper during his time. Schroeder was PSU's first two-time NCAA Division I track All-America, placing sixth in the high jump in 1931 and third in 1932.
