John Levra

Meritorious Service
John Levra established himself as an "ambassador of good
will" for his alma mater in the National Football League. Levra's
coaching career has spanned more than three decades and has included stops
in the collegiate as well as professional ranks. He continues to play
a key role in raising scholarship monies for PSU Football and has been
active in various PSU Football Lettermans activities. Levra was a three-year
letterman for the Gorilla football program (1956-58). He also was a member
of PSU's 1957 NAIA National Championship squad.
Bruce Stancell (1983-86)

Football Athlete
Bruce Stancell earned honorable mention All-America honors at
fullback in 1986. A two-time All-CSIC pick, Stancell finished his career
with 2,750 yards -- the second-highest career rushing total in school
history at the time. In addition to his rushing exploits, Stancell helped
pave the way for PSU's entire starting backfield to earn All-America honors
in 1986, as PSU led the NAIA in rushing (385.7 ypg), scoring (43.5 ppg)
and total offense (490.7 ypg) that year. He also earned NAIA All-America
honors in the discus in track & field in 1986.
William "Willie" Walsh (1981-85)

Cross Country/Track & Field Athlete
William "Willie" Walsh was a six-time NAIA All-America
in cross country and track & field at Pittsburg State. Walsh earned
NAIA All-America honors in cross country in the fall of 1985. In track
& field, Walsh captured the NAIA National Championship in the two-mile
run in 1985 and also helped PSU capture the National Championship in the
distance medley relay that year. He also earned All-America honors in
the two-mile run in 1982-83 and the distance medley relay in 1982. Walsh
also set the PSU record in the indoor mile run (4:10.54).
Ann Wolosyzk (1980-83)

Basketball Athlete
Ann Woloszyk was a two-time honorable mention NAIA All-America
for the Gorilla women's basketball program. Also a two-time All-CSIC pick
(1982-83), Woloszyk finished her playing career with 1,514 points (12.6
ppg) and 594 rebounds (5.0 rpg). She finished her playing career as the
second-leading scorer in school history. Woloszyk helped PSU to its first-ever
20-win season during her junior season when the Gorillas posted a 22-8
overall record.
Darryl Wren (1986, '88-90)
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Football Athlete
Darryl Wren was a first-team NCAA Division II All-America selection
at defensive back as a senior in 1990. Wren also was a two-time All-MIAA
selection (1989-90). He finished his career with 112 tackles, 13 interceptions
and 17 pass breakups. Wren also was a three-time NAIA All-America performer
in track & field at PSU. He was a member of PSU's NAIA National Champion
400 meter relay in 1987 and also earned All-America honors in the 200
meters and the 60 yard dash.
