In 2006: Started PSU's first six games before suffering a season-ending injury on the first offensive series vs. No. 19 Washburn on Oct. 7... completed 58 of 84 passes (.690) for 1,029 yards and 10 TDs on the season... rushed the ball 48 times for 291 yards (6.1 ypc) and seven scores... ranked No. 2 nationally in passing efficiency (206.6 rating) and 13th in DII in total offense (261.0 ypg) prior to the WU game... passed for a season-high 236 yards and rushed for three scores vs. No. 23 Missouri Western (Sept. 16)... set a PSU record and tied the NCAA mark for longest passing play, firing a 99-yard TD pass to WR Bryan Pray vs. Missouri Southern (Sept. 23)... rushed for a season-high 101 yards and two TDs in the Gorillas' 59-57 4OT win vs. Emporia State (Sept. 30)... completed 12 of 15 passes for 183 yards and 4 TDs vs. Panhandle State (Sept. 9).
In 2005: Saw action in nine games in a reserve role for the Gorillas... completed 7 of 8 passes for 76 yards and rushed 27 times for 166 yards and two TDs... rushed four times for a season-high 70 yards and his first collegiate TD vs. Panhandle State (Oct. 1).

In High School: A two-time Kansas Top 11 (All-State, All-Class) selection at quarterback at St. Mary’s-Colgan High (2002-03)... also the two-time Class 2A All-State signal caller... completed 72 percent of his passes for 5,800 career yards with 72 TDs... also rushed for 26 career TDs... posted an amazing 38-0 record as SMC's starter... helped lead the Panthers to 54 consecutive victories and four straight Class 2A state titles (2000-03)... also an All-State performer in basketball and baseball... a 2004 Kansas Shrine Bowl participant.
Personal: Born March 19, 1986... son of Chuck and Beth Smith... a two-year member of the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll (2006-07)... has a 3.25 GPA as a history/government major.
