In High School: A Kansas Class 4A All-State selection as a linebacker at Chanute High School in 2005... a two-time All-SEK League performer (2004-05)... recorded 146 tackles his senior year... a 2006 Kansas Shrine Bowl participant.

Personal: Born November 25, 1987... son of Mickey and Shari Ratliff... a biology major
