GENERAL: Fifth-year player... a talented athlete who evolved into an All-MIAA caliber performer during a breakthrough junior season... a team leader who figures to contend for All-MIAA honors and beyond this fall... a 2008 PSU team captain. In 2006: Started all 12 games at inside linebcker for the Gorillas... recorded 76 tackles (33 solo) with 1.5 QB sacks and 5.0 tackles-for-loss... also registered four PBUs, two forced fumbles, one INT and one fumble recovery... logged a career-best 11 tackles and forced a fumble vs. Truman (Oct. 28)... had nine stops and an INT vs. #23 MWSU (Sept. 16). In 2005: Saw action in nine games in a reserve role and on PSU’s special teams units... logged 18 tackles (five solo) with one TFL... registered a season-best six tackles vs. FHSU (9/3)... missed five games between Oct. 1 and Oct. 29 due to injury. In 2004: Redshirt season. In High School: A first-team Oklahoma Class 4A All-State selection as a senior at Cushing High in 2003... named the Class 4A District II Defensive Player of the Year... logged 126 tackles during his senior prep season... also a four-time All-Area selection... also tallied more than 3,200 career rushing yards and more than 2,500 career passing yards as a quarterback.
