GENERAL: Second-year player... a talented athlete who enjoyed a productive junior season in 2007... a hard worker who figures to contend for a starting role at inside linebacker for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2007: Saw action in eight games in a reserve role for the Gorillas... missed three games due to injury... recorded 27 tackles (13 solo) with one INT and one PBU... logged a season-high seven tackles vs. UCM (Sept. 29).

In Junior College: Spent two seasons at Kilgore College... an honorable mention NJCAA All-American as a sophomore in 2006... recorded 104 tackles (62 solo) with 1.0 QB sack and 2.0 TFLs.

In High School: A two-time Texas Class 5A All-District performer at Houston's Alief Elsils High School (2003-04)... eclipsed 200 tackles during his senior season... helped the Rams to a 10-3 record and a 5A state semifinalist finish as a junior in 2003.

Personal: Born October 12, 1985... son of Don Finley and Jackie Majors... a physical education major.
