GENERAL: Second-year player... redshirted in his initial season in the Pitt State program... a talented athlete who made the most of his redshirt season... enjoyed a solid spring camp... figures to contend for playing time for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2007: Saw action in all 11 games, including three starts, at strong safety... recorded 38 tackles (19 solo) with 0.5 TFL, one INT, one PBU and one FF... logged a season-best seven tackles vs. WU (Nov. 3)... also had five tackles with one FF and one INT vs. Truman (Oct. 13).

In 2006: Redshirt season.

In High School: An honorable mention Kansas Class 2A All-State selection at quarterback as a senior at Ness City High School in 2005... a first-team All-Central Plains League pick at defensive back in 2005... also an honorable mention Class 2A All-State QB in 2003... recorded 101 tackles (61 solo) with 1.0 QB sack and five forced fumbles in 2005... recorded 216 tackles career tackles.

Personal: Born September 29, 1987... son of Gerry and Ann Kuhlman... has a 3.41 GPA as a biology (pre-physical therapy) major.
