GENERAL: Second-year player... a talented athlete who made the move to strong safety from outside linebacker during spring drills... figures to contend for the starting role at the spot for the Gorillas this fall... also an All-American hurdler in track & field. In 2007: Saw action in eight games, including seven starts, at outside linebacker... missed three games due to injury... recorded 59 tackles with 2.0 QB sacks, 4.5 TFLs, 3 FR, 2 FF and one PBU... logged nine stops with 2.0 QB sacks and one FF in his PSU debut vs. A&M-Commerce (Aug. 25)... registered 14 tackles with one FR vs. UCM (Sept. 29). In Track & Field: The NCAA-II national runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles in 2008... a two-time national qualifier in both the 60m and 110-meter hurdles (2007-08)... two-time MIAA champion in the 60m hurdles. In Junior College: Spent two seasons at Blinn College... a first-team All-Southwest Conference selection at linebacker as a sophomore in 2006... the leading tackler for Blinn’s 12-0 NJCAA National Champion squad. In High School: A first-team All-Conference and All-District performer as a senior in 2004... also a four-time state champion in track & field in the 110m and 300m hurdles.
