GENERAL: Fifth-year player... a talented athlete who enjoyed a solid junior season at inside linebacker and on PSU’s special teams units in 2006... a hard worker is expected to contend for a starting role at inside linebacker for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2007: Saw in all 11 games in a reserve role for the Gorillas... recorded 38 tackles (19 solo) with 2.0 QB sacks, 6.5 TFLs and one PBU... logged a career-high nine tackles with 1.5 TFLs vs. SBU (Oct. 13)... had five tackles with 1.5 TFLs, including a key third-down stop in OT in PSU’s 38-31 win vs. UCM (Sept. 29).

In 2006: Saw action in 11 games in a reserve role for the Gorillas... logged 18 tackles (nine solo) with one PBU.

In 2005: Saw action in all 14 games in a reserve role for the Gorillas... logged 21 tackles (nine solo) with one blocked kick... recorded a season-best six tackles vs. SBU (10/15).

In 2004: Redshirt season.

In High School: A first-team Missouri Class 5A All-State selection at linebacker as a senior at Joplin High in 2003... a two-time first-team All-Conference honoree (2002-03)... helped guide the Eagles to an 8-2 record and Ozark Conference Championship as a senior... also a state qualifier in track & field.

Personal: Born July 8, 1985... son of Marques Rogers and Alecia Cartright... a psychology major.
