GENERAL: First-year player... transferred to PSU in January from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College... a talented tight end who enjoyed a solid spring camp... will look contribute for the Gorillas this fall.

In Junior College: Spent three seasons at NEO A&M, including a redshirt year in 2005... a two-year letterwinner for the Norse.

In High School: An honorable mention Okilahoma Class 6A All-State performer at quarterback as a senior at Edmond North High School in 2005... passed for more than 2,000 yards his senior year... selected to the Jim Thorpe All-Star Team.

Personal: Born January 3, 1987... son of Bill Byford and LeaAnn Byford... has a 3.92 GPA as a mechanical engineering major.
