GENERAL: Joins the Pitt State program after four seasons at Oklahoma State University... a talented athlete who will look to be an impact player for the Gorillas at inside linebacker this fall.

At Oklahoma State: Spent four seasons at Oklahoma State... played fullback the past two seasons (2006-07) for the Cowboys after playing linebacker at OSU in 2005... redshirted in his initial season with the Cowboys in 2004.

In High School: An honorable mention Oklahoma Class 6A All-State selection at linebacker as a senior at Enid High School in 2003... also a first-team All-District pick that year... recorded 115 tackles for the Plainsmen in ’03... a 2004 Oil Bowl selection.

Personal: Born August 7, 1986... son of Carlton and Emily Burton... a marketing major.
