Honors/Stats: A first-team Kansas Class 4A All-State
selection as a kick returner as a senior in 2007; also an honorable mention
All-State pick at quarterback; earned first-team All-CNC League honors
at four positions – quarterback, defensive back, punter & place
kicker – this past fall; a three-year All-CNC League performer (2005-07);
a first-team All-Area pick (QB/DB) in 2006; honorable mention 4A All-State
kicker in 2005; also a state qualifier in track & field for the Trojans;
a 2008 Kansas Shrine Bowl selection.

JOSIAH CODY, 6-4, 250, FR, DL
Hometown: Skiatook, Okla.
High School: Skiatook
H.S. Coach: Scott Kempenich
Honors/Stats: A first-team Oklahoma Class 5A All-District
performer as a senior in 2007; registered 52 tackles with 6.5 quarterback
sacks this past fall; a four-year starter for the Bulldogs.

Hometown: Houston, Texas
High School: Spring Westfield
H.S. Coach: Corby Meekins
Honors/Stats: A standout performer at Houston’s
Spring Westfield High in 2007; recorded 20 tackles with three INTs for
the Mustangs; helped SWHS to a 10-3 record and a regional semifinal finish
this past fall.

JARED JERKINS, 5-11, 195, FR, WR
Hometown: Houston, Texas
High School: Klein Forest
H.S. Coach: Kenny Hammock
Honors/Stats: A first-team All-District wide receiver
as a senior in 2007; caught 33 passes for 350 yards and 4 TDs, helping
the Eagles to a 9-3 record; also a second-team All-District selection
in 2006, catching 29 passes for 256 and 3 TDs.

AARON KOLICH, 6-2, 250, FR, OL
Hometown: Olathe, Kan.
High School: Olathe South

Honors/Stats: A first-team Kansas Class 6A All-State
selection by the Topeka Capital-Journal and the Kansas Football Coaches
Association as a senior in 2007; also a first-team All-Metro and first-team
All-Sunflower League selection this past fall; helped the Falcons to a
9-4 record and the 6A state runner-up finish; also an honorable mention
All-League performer as a junior in 2006; a 2008 Kansas Shrine Bowl selection.

Honors/Stats: A first-team Texas Class 5A All-District
performer as a senior in 2007, helping the Longhorns to an 8-4 record;
helped CHHS to an unblemished 16-0 record and the Class 5A state title
as a junior in 2006.

Hometown: Webb City, Mo.
High School: Webb City
H.S. Coach: John Roderique
Honors/Stats: A first-team Missouri Class 4A All-State
performer as a senior in 2007; also a first-team All-Southwest Conference
selection and the co-Defensive Player of the Year; helped the Cardinals
to an unblemised 14-0 record and the 4A state title as a junior in 2006;
helped WCHS post a combined 24-1 record his final two prep years.

High (2005-07); recorded 72 tackles with 13.0 quarterback sacks, 4 fumble
recoveries and 1 INT this past fall; helped the Bulldogs to an unblemished
11-0 record.

DILLON WAGNON, 6-2, 180, FR, DB
Hometown: Broken Arrow, Okla.
High School: Lincoln Christian

Honors/Stats: A first-team All-Metro selection as a senior
in 2007; recorded six interceptions, including two returned for TDs; also
passed for 1796 yards and 31 TDs and rushed for 808 yards and 13 TDs;
helped the Bulldogs to an unblemished 11-0 record.

Honors/Stats: A first-team Kansas Class 2A All-State
performer as a senior in 2007; a three-time All-State selection, earning
honorable mention honors in 2005-06; helped the Redmen to four consecutive
undefeated Class 2A state titles (2004-07); a three-time first-team All-League
selection at both quarterback and defensive back (2005-07).

JOEY ZDEB, 5-11, 225, FR, FB
Hometown: Shawnee, Kan.
High School: Shawnee Mission Northwest
H.S. Coach: Aaron Barnett
Honors/Stats: A two-time All-Sunflower League performer
at Shawnee Mission Northwest (2006-07); on offense, rushed for 54 yards
from his fullback position; on defense, recorded 27 tackles with 6.5 quarterback
sacks; helped the Cougars to the Sunflower League crown and a regional
title this past fall; a three-year starter for the Cougars.

6A All-State performer at quarterback as a senior in 2005; passed for
more than 2,000 yards his senior year; also an All-Conference and All-City
selection; selected to the Jim Thorpe All-Star Team.
College Honors/Stats: A two-year letterwinner at NEO,
2006-07; redshirted in 2005.
DANIEL COOK, 6-1, 275, JR, OL
Hometown: Owasso, Okla.
High School: Owasso
Previous School: Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College
H.S. Honors/Stats: An honorable mention Oklahoma Class
6A All-State performer as a senior in 2006; also an honorable mention
All-Metro selection that year; named to the 6A-District IV squad as well.
College Honors/Stats: An honorable mention All-Conference
performer as a sophomore for the Norsemen.
DAMYON DOOLEY, 6-2, 230, JR, TE
Hometown: Commerce, Okla.
High School: Commerce
Previous School: Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College
H.S. Honors/Stats: An Oklahoma Class A All-Star as a
senior in 2005; a four-year All-Conference and four-year All-District
performer at wide receiver (2002-05) for the Tigers; also an All-State
basketball player at CHS.
College Honors/Stats: A two-year letterwinner for the
Norsemen.
DUSTIN HECKROTH, 6-1, 200, JR, OLB/SS
Hometown: Salina, Kan.
High School: Salina South
Previous School: Hutchinson Community College
H.S. Honors/Stats: A Kansas Kansas Class 5A All-State
performer as a defensive back as a senior in 2004; recorded 91 tackles
with 1 INT, while helping the Cougars to a 10-3 record and the 5A state
title his senior year; also averaged 39.3 yards per return on 8 kickoff
returns his senior season; a 2005 Kansas Shrine Bowl selection.
College Honors/Stats: Recorded 88 tackles with 6.0 TFLs
and 4.5 QB sacks as a sophomore at HCC in 2007; attended MIAA rival Fort
Hays State University for two seasons (2005-06); recorded 53 tackles with
4.0 TFLs, 2.0 QB sacks, 1 INT and 1 FR as a redshirt freshman for the
Tigers in 2006.
WES MARTIN, 6-5, 240, JR, TE
Hometown: Ulysses, Kan.
High School: Ulysses
Previous School: Garden City Community College
H.S. Honors/Stats: A standout performer at Ulysses High;
helped the Tigers to a combined 22-3 record his final two prep seasons
(2003-04).
College Honors/Stats: A first-team All-Jayhawk Conference
and first-team All-Region VI selection as a senior for the Broncbusters
in 2007; helped GCCC to a 7-3 record this past fall. |
