GorillaFest Information

GorillaFest, an open community tailgate party preceding each Gorilla home football game, opens for its 10th year in 2007. GorillaFest is held in Gorilla Village just east of Carnie Smith Stadium on the banks of the University Lake. Admission is free.

At GorillaFest, visitors will find a variety of food vendors serving everything from smoky barbecue to Southeast Kansas-style fried chicken. A live band performs in the Gazebo and PSU students conduct free games for the youngsters. Student and alumni organizations have informational booths and the University Bookstore offers a wide range of Pitt State memorabilia for sale.
