General: Second-year player...an NCAA Division II Preseason All-America candidate...one of the premier returning players in the MIAA...expected to have a big senior season for the Gorillas. In 2006-07: Saw action in all 31 games, including 26 starts...averaged 14.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 57.3 percent from the field (176-307) on the season...ranked ninth in the MIAA in scoring (fourth among underclassmen), 10th in the league in rebounding (fourth among underclassmen) and third in the conference in field goal percentage...garnered second-team All-MIAA honors...also named to the five-man MIAA Tournament squad by averaging 22.7 points per game in PSU's postseason run...scored in double figure 21 times, including a career-high 36 points vs. Southwest Baptist (Mar. 1) in the first round of the MIAA Tournament...logged four double-doubles on the season...also had a season-high 12 rebounds vs. SBU (Jan. 9)...had a season-best three blocked shots vs. Avila (Dec. 4). In Junior College: A second-team NJCAA All-America selection as a sophomore at Independence Community College in 2005-06… averaged 16.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game for the Pirates, helping the team to a 30-4 overall record...also earned first-team All-Region VI honors and garnered Jayhawk Conference East MVP accolades...converted 68.4 percent of his field goals (247 of 361) and knocked down 78.4 percent of his free throws (80 of 102)...also blocked 18 shots. In High School: A standout prep player at Palmetto High School. Personal: Born August 3, 1985...younger brother of Ivey Abercrombie...a general studies major.
